This was the first series of large nylon installations I produced. It involved wrapping nylon around two pillars to restrict movement between them like a fence. The nylon was tied very tightly creating very straight lines that looked razor sharp and became very threatening. Only by walking up close to the pillars did it become apparent that all was not as it seemed. It took a few minutes to adjust to what the viewer was looking at and only by moving around it could it be uncovered and explored. The lighting became crucial because it was only when the lights reflected from the nylon it became obvious.
